It was HARD for me too, even though I had been baking my entire life…the business stuff scared me and was sometimes confusing. Despite all of this I was able to kick-off my business based on a simple idea for just selling cookies. As my business grew I expanded my menu and was initially so nervous charging for cakes, just like you might be nervous as well.
I started my home bakery in 2015 after a weekend wowing my family with my cookies. I got home and thought “hey, this could be a business” and the rest is history. Was it always easy? Nope. I had late nights, busy weekends, and stress. But after locking in my systems for pricing, scheduling, and marketing it became so much easier. I excel at customer service, set my hours so that I’m NEVER overworked and underpaid, and my bakery has return customers constantly. They are happy and no mishaps ever happen because I know how to prevent them. Currently, I have lived in my new home and been operating in the new location for only 4 months and already have regular requests for baked goods, sell out dates for holiday kits, and have customers returning repeatedly. It is heaven.

This is for hobby bakers who are thinking of turning their hobby in to a home business. I want to work with bakers who are ready to take the next step in their baking journey and invest in a successful future. Being a business owner takes dedication and commitment. This course is for baker’s who have been selling but maybe aren’t established or successful yet. As a new business owner sometimes you simply don’t know what you don’t know.
This course ISN’T FOR YOU if you have never baked before. We have a baking 101 course that would be better for complete beginners. This course is comprehensive and specific to opening a successful home bakery and may not be the perfect fit if you’re not ready or if you’re unsure you even want to go from hobbyist to business owner. If you already have an established home bakery and need help troubleshooting one area, one-on-one coaching may be a better fit for you.

But Rachel, why do I need an entire course? Couldn’t I just look up this information online? ABSOLUTELY.
